Today was the most fulfilling and amazing day I've had for at least a year. I got to prepare a full dinner for friends and family. Teriyaki New York Strip steak, red wine portabello caps, fresh roasted corn on the cob, chili garlic broccoli, and roasted onion served as dinner. Fresh made crab cakes and farmer's market cheese for starters and Amaretto cheesecake and trifle for dessert(provided thoughtfully by friends). Three hours of trip planning, story telling, and catching up made a perfect start to the evening. The day prepping wasn't bad either. I finally got to buy my digital food scale and Panera screwed up an order, so I got extra sandvich. Dinner was followed by a run to Perkin's, where I met old high school friends. A similar story to that above commenced. The drinks never ran dry and the pie slices were generous. There, in two seperate incidents, we ran into two other groups of friends who we rarely get to see.

Tomorrow, the drinking begins.
